i am a happy me
and sometimes it's not so easy
to be happy
when all the others just don't see

i am happy that you are you
no matter what you try to do
oh man, if only you knew
just how much i really love you

the life we have is just so great
that i really can't wait
for all the pain to abate
so we can get the good stuff straight

we can do some awesome things, my friend
but with all these problems we've got to mend
it's kind of hard to comprehend
what the world will look like in the end
